What are we doing?
As Cella continues its evolution and growth, we are looking for opportunities to increase our capabilities, better serve clients and effectively compete to become the #1 creative, marketing and digital staffing firm in the US.
Randstad North America has acquired Cella, effective 9/30. Together, we will move closer towards our goal of becoming the #1 creative, marketing and digital staffing firm in the US. We will retain our passionate performance and entrepreneurial culture, while strengthening and expanding our creative capabilities, customer competencies, and scale to pursue additional opportunities.
Why are we doing this?
We found a partner in Randstad who believes in our vision and will enable us to provide the opportunities to broaden and expand our business - in the US and globally. As the global leader in the HR services industry, Randstad will provide us with the scale, experience and leverage to get us to the next level. We are stronger together to move closer towards our goal of becoming #1.
This transaction enables the two brands to mutually expand service offerings, market share and revenue growth. Clients and talent benefit by working with the recognized global leader in HR services and the partner of choice for creative, marketing and digital solutions.

How does this impact me?
- Our goal is to have minimal disruption and to increase opportunities that may not be present today.
- This transaction will have an impact on systems, programs and processes which may impact people.
- Integration planning between Randstad and Cella have recently started and we’ll know more in the coming weeks and months.
Will there be any change to salaries or pay?
There are no planned compensation changes at this time.
Will there be any changes to our benefits?
We are reviewing benefits plans for both companies. We will look for ways to make benefits options better for you to ensure that our benefits maintain our status as an employer of choice.
Will there be a change to our pay dates?
No, we will continue with weekly pay dates for the foreseeable future, but we are going to review this as part of the integration planning to see what makes sense.
Will there be a new name for Cella?
Cella will retain its name, and the Marketing team will meet to discuss branding and positioning during the integration meetings.
Will my work location change?
No, there is no impact to your current work location.
What are the executives’ roles in the new company?
Rob Ganjon will continue to lead the business as President, and Jackie Schaffer will continue to lead the Managed Services, Consulting and Delivery as Senior Vice President. At the close of the transaction, Rob will report to Randstad Technologies Group CEO Graig Paglieri.
Next Steps
How will this new combined company work?
There is a structured integration program team comprised of SMEs on both sides, including revenue generating leaders, working together to ensure a smooth integration of both companies.
We have begun discussing the integration with Randstad and are being given the opportunity to help shape this process.
There remains a lot of planning and we will continue to keep you updated.
A program management team is in place to keep the process organized and moving in the right direction.
Cella will continue to operate as a separate line of business under the Randstad Technologies Group portfolio of companies, which includes Technologies, Engineering, Life Sciences, and Celerity, a business & technology consulting firm.
