The event will include a mix of classroom-led sessions and roundtable discussions.

Led by industry veterans Andy Epstein and Pam Orlando Zanni, four different sessions along with roundtable discussions will address foundational skills that team managers should have in order to be effective leaders of creative services teams and in-house agencies. Session topics will cover:

  • Providing Feedback and Coaching
  • Leading People: Promoting Engagement, Morale, Culture and Team Building
  • CreativeOps Fundamentals: Time Capture and Data Analysis
  • CreativeOps Fundamentals: SOPs and Workflows
  • Tips for Creative Manager Effectiveness

Why attend?

At Creative Manager Boot Camp, attendees will explore the essentials of creative operations and management, all taught from the perspective of real-life challenges. You’ll also learn actionable strategies and best practices that you can take home and immediately implement with your team.

Who should attend?

Creative managers and team leads with less than five years of experience, more tenured managers who want to take advantage of a formal management training opportunity or whose businesses are growing, along with select junior team members who are being groomed for a management position in the future.

Andy has worked in the in-house creative services space for over 35 years, successfully building and leading both small and large multidisciplinary teams in a range of industries. By leveraging both creative and operational expertise, teams under Andy’s leadership have consistently exceeded established KPIs and outperformed peer groups in the industry. He even cofounded InSource, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting in-house creative teams. It should come as no surprise, then, that Andy has published The Corporate Creative, one of the few books specifically focused on the in-house professional.

In his spare time, Andy is a self-professed sci-fi geek with a fascinating hobby of building clocks out of found objects. Also a daring foodie, he loves to try out dishes from different countries and cultures.

Cella team member Pam Orlando Zanni has worked in the in-house creative space for more than 25 years. She spent the bulk of her career leading design/process management for four of the world’s most iconic retail brands (Walgreens, Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club, The Home Depot, CVS/pharmacy). Creating, refining and building organizational structures and systems to meet business needs and produce award winning creative output is a mainstay of Pam’s playbook. She is a mentor to and built a network of creative professionals across the country and has been a speaker touting the virtues of in-house teams at the ANA.
