The Sr. Digital AM/PM provides strategic client development and project management support across multi-functional teams in a fast paced environment using an array of analytics, publishing and project management tools. This is a critical role in helping global marketing leaders to solve their most important digital problems. The individual owns and manages specific client relationships. The individual must exhibit strong organization, management and prioritization skills, as well as outstanding client judgment, business acumen and the ability to work collaboratively with the creative team to achieve on-target materials to meet the client’s needs. The individual needs advanced knowledge of aligned clients’ business challenges, and helps lead the creative services team to address the clients’ specific digital marketing objectives as defined by creative briefs. The individual will also be expected to advise on marketing and communications strategies and plans and contribute to conceptual creative development.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Own the relationship and customer success of our marketing leaders, including strategy development, campaign execution and optimization, and retention
  • Serve as initial point of contact for all digital marketing initiatives and all Tier 1 and 2 client projects
  • Recommend and advise clients on options and capabilities utilizing marketing best practices and digital channel knowledge
  • For Tier 1 projects and digital marketing initiatives involving multiple components, assist in strategic development, prepare cost/time estimates, monitor “big picture” progress and track major milestones and actual costs against estimates
  • Project manage, deploy, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize and report on digital marketing campaigns, which can include any mix of email marketing assets, webcasts, sponsored/native content, banner ads, and more
  • Communicate directly with clients, keeping them apprised of campaign status and responding promptly to any inquiries
  • Create project plans for each campaign, detailing all required deliverables, communicate requirements and timelines to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor live campaigns, suggest optimizations, and report on campaign performance directly to clients
  • Evaluate creative brief content for completeness and actionable content that will enable the creative team to create on-target deliverables for the client
  • Partner with clients to enhance creative brief quality and identify key messages 
  • Review full breadth of aligned-clients’ projects in order to recommend opportunities for effective streamlining of messages and/or projects
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s products, industry, competitors, challenges and opportunities by attending client team meetings, networking with clients and utilizing industry resources
  • Develop a “trusted advisor” relationship with aligned clients
  • Partner with client to develop an account plan identifying Tier 1 creative services/marketing projects and goals, as well as expected Tier 2 and 3 needs, across a calendar year that enables creative services to staff, prioritize and plan to meet those needs 
  • Review and update account plan at set intervals across the year
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining and growing account volume as appropriate, including generating new business (e.g., converting current external agency work to the in-house team), recommending new products and updating standard offerings, building strong client relationships, resolving conflicts, improving communication and ensuring customer satisfaction 
  • Serve as the voice within the digital marketing and brand strategy team for the client and facilitate client interaction with the designers and writers as appropriate 
  • Ensure the creative services staff understands client requirements and perspective and that the final output aligns as appropriate  
  • Understand clients’ products, audiences and business objectives and ensure they are applied to client products
  • Review products for quality, consistency, accuracy and advancement of the visual and verbal brand in design reviews, and ensure that consistent image/message is conveyed across the client’s products
  • Attend strategy, status, project kickoff, and other client meetings to help client understand the importance of the brand and marketing objectives
  • Set expectations with clients, e.g., when and what they will see next as part of the creative process, budget expectations, solution response expectations, follow-up process and metrics expectations
  • Appropriately balance client desires, business needs, marketing standards and brand identity 
Skills and Knowledge required
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills (identifying problems, finding and implementing solutions) and keen attention to detail at all times - candidates should enjoy finding solutions and solving problems
  • Effective project management skills with proven ability to work with various groups to reach a common goal
  • Comfort learning and using diverse web-based publishing tools (like WordPress, and Hubspot), project management tools (like Workgroups and Jira), and reporting tools (like Google Analytics)
  • Extra points for knowledge of campaign management tools like DFP, WordPress CMS, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Parse.ly, Qualtrics, and working knowledge of HTML
  • Communicate system capabilities and business best practices, train other team members
  • Quality assurance and traffic digital ad creative
  • Monitor and troubleshoot campaign delivery
  • Review monthly billing
  • Experience working in advertising related ad serving and ad management tools
  • Ability to understand new technologies and translate into business terms
  • Expertise in applicable applications and tools such as Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Broad understanding of traditional and emerging channels
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing best practices in the B2C and B2B fields
  • Expertise in specific channels or vertical markets as required by specific client’s business unit and larger organization’s industryAbility to write and speak effectively and clearly articulate the team’s solutions in terms of the client’s business goals
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in marketing, communications, advertising or business
  • Minimum of eight years of professional-level experience; at least two of which are in an account management role either in an external or internal agency
