Type: Freelance / Contract
Our client is seeking a Digital Designer to join their team. The Digital Designer will work with the communications team to bring written and visual communications to life for use across corporate channels including their website, social media channels, internal communications channels/vehicles including their intranet, email, collaboration platforms, as well as graphic support for a variety of other uses, including in corporate presentations for internal and external audiences.  The Digital Designer will create visually appealing content for clients to use.  Duties include providing guidance and executing on visually compelling content to tell their story across their channels.  The designer will combine art and technology to convey strategic communications ideas through images, using a variety of design elements to achieve artistic or decorative effects, The designer will be an embedded member of the content team within Global Communications, to help influence, evolve and manage the visual and digital brand identity, including colors, imagery, interactive elements and other brand work within their visual communications on their channels both internally and externally. Additionally, the designer should poses basic video editing skills to prepare short video for their channels.

This position is remote indefinitely, but will eventually be onsite in Kenilworth, NJ. Pharma experience is required! 

Digital Designer Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling and provocative visual designs that get attention and drive communications results
  • Develop visual designs for key business milestones and high-profile events  
  • Support our Leadership Communications, External Affairs and other Global Communications teams with creating visual content for use across their channels  
  • Serve as the liaison to leverage and adapt other owned visual work 
  • Manage and maintain a library of graphics, helping other communicators and business partners to leverage existing materials
  • Work with teams across the Global Communications organization to ensure their graphic resources are leveraged

Digital Designer Qualifications:

  • Ability to convey thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in verbal, written and video format
  • Creative and conceptual graphic design, a strong ability for visual storytelling
  • Strong knowledge of grammar and composition rules required for editing and proofreading material
  • Ability to write and produce social media and website content
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Experience with creating content for both small and large internal and external audiences
  • Strong composition skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, and the ability to work in and convert files on both platforms
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating with senior executives
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively within the department
  • A process, systems and results-driven professional with strong passion for technology
  • Flexible and agile with ability to adapt quickly and be effective in new situations in a highly dynamic environment
  • Possesses passion, energy, a detail orientation, and enthusiasm to drive results
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other communication and functional teams across the business
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field
  • At least 5 years experience in professional advertising, DIGITAL PHARMA agency, communications or marketing environment
  • Experience with highly regulated industry; deep business knowledge, solid understanding of corporate financial reporting of publicly traded companies, and familiarity with SEC, DOJ, FDA regulations
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
