Location: Onsite in Houston, Texas hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) with travel 1-2 times per month to West Coast

Compensation: $140,000-$150,000 annual salary

We are looking for a highly organized Executive Producer with extensive technical and creative video experience for our client.

As Executive Producer this role is responsible for delivering, enhancing and bringing creative vision to life in both live and recorded productions. Building strong relationships, collaboration and partnership with creatives, clients and production crews is imperative for the success of this role. The Executive Producer is responsible for managing and aligning the daily affairs of cast and crew with the creative vision and goals of each project. Additionally, this role is vital to cultivating a collaborative and safe working environment while integrating the appropriate resources that meet the needs of each video project.

The Executive Producer must be a skilled negotiator, presenter and possess strong business and marketing skills. The Executive Producer will collaboratively work with other internal and external producers, build outside resource talent pools as appropriate or needed and manage productions from start to finish for delivery of high-quality, in-scope and on-time products. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact with partners and key stakeholders, leading high-level event productions. This includes overseeing the crew and acting as the expert resource for the required technical, logistical, and project management event support.
  • Provide input on briefs and collaborate with resources to determine the best approach for each project based on schedule, budget, team bandwidth, complexity, and other determining factors.
  • Help inform and scope production budgets and timelines with stakeholders based on creative briefs and allocated funds.
  • Create next-level productions and content, including but not limited to live events, videos, integrated projects that include video, editorial photography, and video for internal or external use.
  • Provide guidance for and work closely with the Technical Producer, supporting across all active projects.
  • Supervise the overall production of videos and events in compliance with all organizational requirements, including safety and brand.
  • Work effectively with creative resources (internal and external) to forecast bandwidth of resources and identify necessary support and workstreams to align with the creative vision.
  • Builds and maintains roster of resources – crews, independent contractors, etc.
  • Set realistic expectations with client partners to ensure success without sacrificing quality or going over budget.
  • Attend briefings to determine production involvement and needs.
  • Advise internal and external agency partners on production-related concerns on a project-by-project basis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks on each project, flexibility with working teams, travel, and maintaining odd hours. Quick problem-solving ability while maintaining a calm and reliable demeanor for clients, crew, and talent.
  • Track and report on each project’s delivery and performance – budget, scope, safety and timely delivery. 
  • Introduce new ideas to ensure the highest creative quality, efficiency, and optimal outcomes for all video productions.
  • Create efficiencies, streamline, and optimize workflows to ensure high standards of quality, productivity and efficient delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence by evaluating, improving upon and establishing best-in-class methodologies and processes for safe and timely productions.

Qualifications:

  • A video and event production background within an inhouse agency or agency environment of at least 10+ years with a history of managing productions both small and large in scale.
  • A track record of managing a team with at least (3) direct reports.
  • strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working within a corporate environment.
  • Comfortable with delegation.
  • Good multitasking ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Business and marketing mindset.
  • Track record of executing large and small productions, handling all facets of a producer's responsibilities on set.
  • Experience working with WorkFront, and knowledge of other production software to enhance the OC production process.
  • 1-2 times a month travel required.
