Compensation Range: $33 - 43 per hour
We are seeking a talented and experienced Film Colorist to join our client's post-production team! As a Film Colorist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visual quality of our client's films, ensuring that the storytelling is brought to life through vibrant and emotionally resonant colors. You will collaborate closely with directors, cinematographers, and post-production professionals to achieve the desired artistic vision for projects. Ideal candidates MUST be able to find the right grading/correction to match different lenses, cameras, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with directors and cinematographers to understand the artistic vision for each project.
- Use advanced color grading software and tools to manipulate and enhance the visual quality of footage.
- Ensure consistency in color and tone throughout the film, maintaining the intended mood and atmosphere.
- Correct and balance color, contrast, and exposure to achieve the desired look.
- Collaborate with the post-production team to deliver final color-graded footage within project deadlines.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to color grading.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 5 years of Color Correction experience.
- Proven experience as a Film Colorist in the film or television industry.
- Proficiency with industry-standard color grading software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe SpeedGrade, or similar.
- Strong understanding of color theory and the ability to use color to evoke emotions and enhance storytelling.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for achieving the highest visual quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a creative team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of different film formats and aspect ratios.
- A portfolio showcasing your previous color grading work is highly desirable.
