Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Graphic Designer to join their talented in-house design team. Their design team partners with cross-functional teams to build marketing materials, event collateral, social media creative, and more in support of the organization's goals and vision.
As an integral part of the team, you will conceptualize, design, and execute creative solutions that consistently and clearly represent the client and their portfolio of organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a range of design capabilities, with a solid background in visual communications, print, digital, social, branding, and typography.
This is a hybrid position in which the designer must be onsite 3 days per week in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively understand and gain knowledge of the brand, target audiences, priority initiatives, key institutions and organizations.
- Develop compelling creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with Senior Designers.
- Collaborate with internal partners to understand marketing objectives and creative needs.
- Responsible for graphic design and direction, seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion, and delivery for assigned projects.
- Evolve, revise, or redevelop creative deliverables in response to feedback from the design team or internal stakeholders.
- Assist the team with day-to-day production requests, including image selection and reformatting creative for various channels.
- Balance multiple projects successfully to meet deadlines and collaborate across multiple stakeholders with different priorities.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the other designers on the team on all creative projects. Personally work on graphic development.
- Adhere organizations' brand identity standards and guidelines, while helping to inform the evolution and extension of the visual identity.
- Work closely with project and resource managers to keep all projects on track.
- Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval.
- Stay current on industry trends, particularly in the print, digital and social spaces; share ideas and recommendations for innovating new templates and design approaches.
