Amazing opportunity for a Jr. Proposal Writer! Our client, a key player in the tech industry is looking for a skilled Jr. Proposal Writer to join their team in Hanover, MD on a DIRECT HIRE basis. The Jr. Proposal Writer is responsible for supporting all phases of the proposal process in response to commercial and state government requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and requests for qualifications (RFQ).

*Candidates must be able and willing to commute to Hanover, MD regularly in order to be considered *

Jr. Proposal Writer Responsibilities:

Partners with sales and sales leadership to respond to multiple RFPs at any given time
Analyzes and dissects RFPs for mid- to large-tier opportunities to develop win themes and align proposals response accordingly
Owns proposal operations by conducting proposal kick-offs, proposal reviews, and copy editing to ensure the development of high-quality responses in a timely manner
Supports all phases of the mid-level to complex proposal processes including, but not limited to content management (content review and creation), process improvement, response design and development, response quality assurance, and proposal delivery
May lead or provide administrative support to core proposal operations, including graphics, content development, win/loss review, etc.
May support proposal presentation creation, as needed
May support other non-proposal projects within the Marketing department

Jr. Proposal Writer Qualifications:

1-3 years of professional proposal writing experience required
Versed in a variety of proposal concepts, practices, and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to maintain working files and revisions of documents, required
APMP affiliation preferred
Professional editing experience preferred
Industry knowledge of IT Staffing or IT Services preferred
Working knowledge of proposal software and content management systems, like Qvidian, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field required
