Product Development Designer (Hybrid)

Location: Framingham, Massachusetts

Compensation Range: $40 - 45 per hour

Our client is seeking a talented and creative Product Development Designer to join their product development team in Framingham, MA!

The successful candidate will support the team in designing and developing soft home artwork for both adult and kids products. This role is pivotal in bringing our client's product visions to life through innovative and trend-forward designs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute artwork for specified product programs using Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team from the concept meeting through the artwork execution and prototype process.
• Select and create color palettes, staying informed on current color and trend information.
• Effectively communicate and interpret conceptual design ideas.
• Manage multiple projects with flexibility and ease, ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain strong organizational and follow-through skills to ensure project success.
• Work well in a team environment, fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
• Stay informed about competitive products and brands to ensure designs are market-leading.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must.
• Passion for home product color and trend is essential.
• Degree in Design or equivalent work experience.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with flexibility and ease.
• Experience in Textile and Surface Design or Illustration OR graphic design with an interest in product development.
• Knowledge of competitive products and brands.
• 3+ years of experience in Product Development with relevant product categories is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of current color and trend information.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate and interpret conceptual design ideas effectively.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
