We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Series Awards Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will help shape and execute award-focused publicity campaigns across multiple genres, including dramas, comedies, and unscripted series. This role involves managing relationships with key stakeholders and employing innovative strategies to heighten visibility in the awards landscape.
Responsibilities
- The Manager will help shape and execute publicity campaigns for series across genres including dramas, comedies, unscripted and more, making use of multiple earned media channels including broadcast, print and online outlets.
- They will play a critical role in communicating with stakeholders inclusive of publicity and production company partners pre and post launch, employing unconventional tactics that targets awards press in a meaningful way.
- They will pitch, secure and execute on all media opportunities.
- They have exceptional communication skills and are able to concept and execute fresh ideas in a crowded and highly competitive landscape.
- They find innovative ways to tap into and align with marketing, social and product to push set narratives.
- They will have the ability to understand the awards landscape and strategize on narratives that serve publicity goals.
- They will also have knowledge of awards processes and are able to identify ways to heighten contenders profiles by awards race. strong candidates can handle a vast amount of work and are eager to learn.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in publicity and media relations, ideally within the entertainment or media industry.
- Strategic, cross-functional campaign management skills with an ability to navigate and manage press relationships.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of prioritizing a heavy and dynamic workload.
- Experience in managing external agencies and driving results through collaboration.
- strong understanding of the awards landscape and key factors that influence the awards race.
- High energy, motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to pitch and execute fresh ideas in crowded spaces.
