Compensation Range: $30 - 32 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Contractor to join our client's Product Development Team!
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and approval of private label products, ensuring that our offerings are high-quality, trend-right, and delivered on time. You will collaborate closely with Agents, Vendors, Buyers, and other internal teams to source and develop products that meet our client's brand vision and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively source private label programs by building and maintaining strong relationships with Agents, Vendors, and Buyers within the Product Development area.
- Negotiate prices and determine appropriate order placements based on factory capabilities, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and continuously evaluate the agent/vendor/factory structure to ensure the successful production of private label apparel.
- Understand and manage duty-free programs, documentation, and compliance requirements to ensure smooth and legal operations.
- Ensure that factories are capable of producing quality garments that meet our high standards and requirements.
- Participate in and lead special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Product Development Team.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Degree in Business Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, V-lookups, and complex formulas.
- Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and report data, particularly within complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent multi-tasker, able to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously with a high level of efficiency.
- Strong and collaborative communication skills, with the ability to respond appropriately and in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Works well in a team environment and can unify ideas to present to individuals and groups effectively.
