UX Researcher (Hybrid)

Our client seeking a User Researcher for a 9-month contract with the potential for extension. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in advising and influencing product strategy and design through comprehensive user research.

As a User Researcher, your mission will be to provide invaluable insights that shape product strategy and design. You'll engage in both generative and evaluative research methods, leading end-to-end research plans, from study design to data collection and final analysis. Collaborating closely with teams in engineering, interaction design, industrial design, manufacturing, and business, you will be the driving force behind our user-centric approach.

This is a full-time, 9-month contract position with the potential for extension.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams designing new products and experiences in our Consumer Electronics division.
  • Collaborate with the aligned Research Lead and peers on selecting appropriate testing methods and outlining actionable study plans and protocols.
  • Work across Product Design to generate content and prototypes for testing, including close partnerships with industrial designers, engineers, and UX designers.
  • Proactively communicate study progress and escalate concerns, as needed.
  • Execute various studies and risk analysis ensuring you collect high-quality, unbiased data.
  • Analyze and synthesize data to deliver final reports with clear and compelling recommendations to cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher in a related field, such as Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Behavior Sciences, Psychology, or Product Design.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
