Job Title: User Interface (UI)/Visual Designer (Remote)

Our corporate client in Ohio is looking for a Visual/User Interface Designer to come onboard their team for a 3 month, 30 hour per week maternity leave coverage which could extend to a long term contract! This role requires a candidate who can work east coast hours and has their own home work station and equipment. This is a remote opportunity and must be local to east coast time in the US. The ideal candidate will take design system/patterns and execute page builds and designs. This person will polish details, pixels, padding, colors, and textiles on our client's website.

User Interface (UI)/Visual Designer Responsibilities:
  • Execute design based on UX and UI standards
  • Creates detailed design based on templates which includes implementing layout, ensuring content is accurate, creating design comps and developing templates for execution
  • Facilitates compliance with corporate, brand, digital, and legal standards and ensures visual and behavioral consistency in developed system
User Interface (UI)/Visual Designer Requirements:
  • BA or BS,  preferred in Marketing/Graphic/Digital Design or Information Services; or relevant experience
  • 1-3+ years of recent, direct, relevant experience translating business & user needs into digital user designs
  • Proficiency of design tools, including Figma and Sketch
  • Proficiency of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Home work station and access to equipment and software required
  • Outstanding interaction design skills, with demonstration of previous interaction work
  • Highly skilled with multiple design techniques, such as wireframes, storyboards, and rapid iterative prototyping
  • Strong communication skills
  • Superior presentation skills
  • Familiar with user-centered design methodologies and agile/rapid development processes
  • Compelling portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of design projects and skills
  • Highly organized, flexible and able to structure and estimate work 
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects and under pressure and tight deadlines
