Job Title: Advertising Account Manager

Our client is looking for a talented Advertising Account Manager with project management skills for an opportunity currently located in Downtown Houston, TX. This role will begin remotely but will be onsite in our client's Houston location outside of the pandemic. If you are a hands-on Advertising Account Manager who teams count on to lead and integrates marketing communications campaigns across multiple channels, we want to hear from you! 

Our team is actively seeking an Advertising Account Manager who will drive collaboration, thought leadership, and support for programs, including pioneering those without established precedence.
 
Advertising Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Project/Program Management - Take a hands-on approach in the leadership and stewardship of high-complexity / high-profile projects as well as multi-channel programs
  • Strategic Thinking - Partner with Account team and apply critical thinking needed to seek clarity, establish clear objectives and direction
  • Creative Problem Solving – Proactively identify and employ appropriate solutions for unprecedented challenges and/or issues as they arise, while mitigating project risk
  • Team Integration – Collaborate and coordinate the integration of cross-functional teams
  • Financial Planning – Develop and oversee scopes of work, proposals and budgets to ensure efficiencies and keep projects on time and within budget
  • Scheduling and Planning – Collaborate with functional leads identify resources and set project schedules with attention to detail and ability to plan multiple/concurrent projects
  • Critical thinking and Communication – Showcase ability to write and present recommendations founded in solid rationale. Apply advanced presentation skills along with ability to use sound judgement in influencing target audience while asking critical questions and sharing new ideas
Advertising Account Manager Requirements:
  • Proficient in developing project plans, briefs, proposals (budget/timelines) and workflows in support of corporate communication deliverables
  • Strong digital aptitude to manage creative assets delivered in digital format (ie. email, posters, PowerPoint, social media, intranet and SharePoint)
  • Effectively delegate, manage time, budget and resources
  • Strategic thinking:
    • Comfortable navigating uncertainty with ability to analyze and synthesize various forms of information/inputs to identify a program’s desired outcome
    • Be solutions-oriented to create “fit-for-purpose” recommendations
  • Collaboration and integration skills:
    • Ability to cultivate relationships and inspire team collaboration, between clients, account managers, project managers and creative teams
    • Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and engage appropriate team members as needed, to provide subject matter expertise and inform recommendations
  • Critical thinking and communication
    • Demonstrate high level of critical thinking and communication skills throughout lifecycle
    • Apply critical thinking in the development and presentation of proposals and recommendations to influence positive outcomes
    • Ability to manage difficult conversations
    • Effectively write and present plans, proposals and estimates
Advertising Account Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of progressive experience in Account or Project Management for an advertising agency or creative studio
  • Applied experience managing campaigns across all forms of media and deliverable types;  must have proficiency in executing digital assets (email, intranet, SharePoint, social media) 
  • Familiarity with communications strategy development, research and/or analytics is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft skills including PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel as well as experience with project management software is required (familiarity with Workfront is a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
