Fantastic direct hire opportunity for a Marketing Content Writer! Our client is looking for a talented Marketing Content Writer to join their growing Marketing department in Falls Church, VA.

 

Marketing Content Writer Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation (including video strategy, email marketing and thought-leadership materials)
  • Write, edit and proofread organization’s communication content with a solid understanding of ‘company’s voice’ and maintain brand voice across all materials
  • Develop engaging copy, storylines and themes for messaging
  • Ensures corporate correspondence / communication meets brand guidelines, reads well and is error free
  • Content editor for company’s eNewsletter
  • Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring company’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts; responds to all activity and effectively engage with company’s membership; expanding our reach
  • Purchase social media advertising
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Write and distribute press releases via newswire services
  • Monitors our competition weekly and provides progress-updates 
  • Generate creative ideas for company’s blog; write and post articles weekly
  • Maintain website content for accuracy and relevance
  • Manage and circulate monthly email marketing programs generating creative ideas and relevant content; knowledge in HTML
  • Work with the company’s graphic designer to coordinate and fulfill creative development and execution of custom content; Build strong working relationships with our creative partners
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic) to help shape future marketing strategiesManage lead generation using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; Optimize content for lead generation and search engines
  • Assist marketing team with day-to-day tasks and coordinating projects; other duties as assigned
Marketing Content Writer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills
  • Ability to write technical information in a friendly, easy to understand manner
  • Excellent researcher and time management skills
  • Team player
  • Active and open-minded learner

 

Marketing Content Writer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or sales
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related content creation and marketing experience (e.g. publishing, editorial, journalism, content marketing and copywriting)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office -- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Click Dimensions or other email marketing platform
