Our client in the financial space is seeking a Digital Asset Manager to join their team temp-to-hire in Newark, NJ. 

Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead comprehensive taxonomy cross-functionally and manage the day-to-day implementation, maintenance, and governance
  • Research, develop, and apply taxonomic classification and metadata schema for marketing content on applicable digital properties, primarily the website ecosystem
  • Work in appropriate tools for taxonomy management, data collection, application, and analysis, and for surfacing of new terminology by which to keep the taxonomy updated
  • Apply knowledge of industry standards for thesauri and classification systems to taxonomy development and application
  • Apply knowledge of information retrieval/cognitive search technology to metadata management
  • Maintain standards for how the taxonomy will be maintained and governed throughout its lifecycle
  • Assist in architecting a holistic tagging system for our digital channels, review and assist with implementation efforts as necessary
  • Structure, manage and update taxonomy to power personalization efforts on affiliate websites and email marketing efforts
  • Facilitate discussions and share best practices with stakeholders and business functions
  • Collaborate with applicable teams on personalization efforts and other cross-functional efforts, as needed
Digital Asset Manager Skills/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Library or Information Science, Linguistics, Information Architecture, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience developing and managing taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, metadata and classification schema, ideally for web
  • Experience working with content management systems, preferably Drupal
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to present complex technical and metadata information in a clear and concise way to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, preferably in a way that demonstrates clear benefits to the customer or business
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Knowledge of the asset management industry, services, distribution and market environment a plus
  • Good relationship management skills, with a flexible and diplomatic attitude
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects at a time under tight deadlines
