Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join their team. The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for managing content for enterprise-wide communications, including the intranet and more. They ensure that internal communication messaging and channels are integrated and aligned with the enterprise's internal communication strategy. The Internal Communications Manager must constantly collaborate with all communication team members and stakeholders across the company.

This position is a 40 hr/wk, long-term contract opportunity on-site with our client in Dunwoody, GA. 

Internal Communications Manager Responsibilities: 
  • Strategically manage the enterprise-wide company intranet, and the editorial calendar, ensuring news, videos, polls, calendar and other features are reflecting fresh, relevant and cohesive content, balanced among each of our business units and enterprise functions
  • Ensure all communication written by (self and) others confirms to Style Guide, AP Style and is involved in our evolving tone of voice guidelines
  • Provide final gatekeeper check and filter before anything is posted on intranet, providing editorial review as well as probing authors to ensure all necessary stakeholders are aware of content before publishing
  • Manage all administration of Intranet, including reviewing comments, adjusting timing of stories and targeting applications to segmented audiences
  • Track and report on readership and engagement metrics on Intranet and all enterprise-wide channels - for internal campaigns and channels overall
  • Continuously develop new tools and communication related to increasing engagement on Intranet, working with Technology to identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements – both employee-facing and administrative on the backend
  • Independently work with various internal clients (from manager to EVP levels), internal and external marketing and design teams, and third-party vendors, without oversight
  • Step in whenever needed, often with little background or information, to help with confidential projects
  • Provide special writing or presentation support, when requested, for senior executives and/or special company events

Internal Communications Manager Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required – prefer focus in Communication, Journalism or English 
  • 2+ years corporate communication experience, preferably with a focus on internal communication Direct experience with Word, SharePoint and the entire Microsoft Office 365 suite 
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to make the most complex topics understandable and accessible to the all-employee audience to engage interest and support broader understanding of strategy 
  • Strong attention to detail, including AP Style and grammar Excellent project management skills 
  • Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues in person as well as with those in virtual locations to create consensus in support of shared outcomes 
  • Demonstrates respect, honesty, consistency, confidentiality and fairness when interacting with colleagues, clients, business partners and other stakeholders 
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide variety of tasks and multiple priorities, often with short timeframes Well-developed project management skills 
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently to navigate through the organization without a prescribed plan, to accomplish a goal 
  • Must exhibit an executive presence and a positive attitude 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
