Job Title: SEO Strategist
Location: Mc Lean, VA,
Type: Freelance / Contract

Our client is looking for an SEO Specialist to join their team in New York City, NY.

Responsibilities:

Design, own, manage, and communicate an overall strategy and approach to SEO across internal cross-functional, stakeholder, and leadership teams
Perform keyword-focused research to understand content gaps and opportunities
Provide marketing teams with regularly scheduled and ad hoc content optimization data and requests
Provide ongoing support and training to internal Account Managers & Marketers to create SEO-focused production workflows, develop and manage efficient processes to ensure organic search is considered within content creation
Function as a strategic SME, lead knowledge sharing around SEO with key leadership and stakeholders
Create & present reports and analytics to support senior management in making strategic business decisions in areas affected by organic search
Demonstrate the value of an SEO strategy; measure impact and communicate results of recommendations, find opportunities for optimization
Work with information architecture and metadata to support content optimization and user experience initiatives
Stay current on trends; actively communicate/present insights & best practices around the changing SEO landscape and adherence to SEO best practice

Qualifications:

5 years of experience as an SEO strategist, working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
Specific hands-on experience with SEO Tools & Platforms (Moz, SEMRush, Conductor, BriteEdge, etc.)
Familiarity with Adobe suite (Experience Manager, Analytics)
Inherent knowledge of aspects around technical SEO and their impacts (crawlability, robots.txt, schema markup/ structured data, cannibalization, voice)
Strong ability to lead and manage resources
Core understanding of SEO principles (impacts to SERP, algorithm, other factors)
