Compensation Range: $80,000 - 110,000 per year

We're looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator to join an innovative, industry-leading company in the Cedar Rapids, IA metro area. You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing Linux-based infrastructure for award-winning software solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to Linux servers, hardware, and applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Perl, and Python for database management, backups, and scheduling.
  • Manage system security, updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot network protocols including DNS, TCP/IP, and SMTP.
  • Install and manage SSL certificates for secure web services.
  • Configure and secure essential services such as Apache, Postfix, PostgreSQL, SSH, Redis, and Syslog.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Linux administration across multiple distributions.
  • Experience with Debian, SaltStack, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Active Directory is a plus.
  • Familiarity with configuring Azure resources is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of MapServer or OpenLayers is a plus.
