Our client, a leading financial services firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions to clients, is seeking a talented UX Designer to join their team on a contract basis!
As a UX Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in crafting seamless and engaging digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience designing Point of Sale systems.
This is a hybrid role in which candidates must spend 3 days/week onsite in Brooklyn, NY. Also open to Plano, TX and Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all stages of UX design and must think strategically while executing with great attention to detail.
- Successfully collaborate with other designers, product managers, and tech engineers to develop innovative, user-friendly, products as well as provide solutions for critical areas within the user flow.
- Comfort working with HTML and CSS, excellent visual design skills, great technical know-how, and proven expertise in designing for Web/Digital experiences.
- Help define the user model(s) and user interface for new and existing products and features.
- Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change.
- Concept and develop new and engaging experiences for the user base.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
- Proven experience in UX design within the financial services industry.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Technical expertise in designing for web and digital experiences.
- Experience designing Point of Sale systems is highly desirable.
