We're seeking a Senior Spatial Designer to lead the global rollout of our client's environmental brand experience!
As a Senior Spatial Designer, you will be responsible for leading projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spatial design, with a focus on creating experiential environments.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the global rollout of environmental brand experiences, ensuring consistency and excellence across all touchpoints.
- Develop scalable strategies for asset deployment across the brand portfolio, optimizing impact and efficiency.
- Lead the production and prototyping of new environmental assets, ensuring innovation and quality.
- Establish guidelines for the production and installation of environmental assets, maintaining brand integrity.
- Review and approve global site proposals for implementation, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact between teams in different regions, fostering clear communication and alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
- Support the build-out of brand asset portfolio, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design partners on developing new brand assets.
- Create a comprehensive knowledge resource/database/brand book, consolidating insights and best practices for future projects.
- Lead ad-hoc design requests and develop new environmental assets for events, conferences, or site-specific needs.
- Maintain governance of environmental assets and their applications.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design programs (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Optional: Proficiency/General Knowledge in 3D programs (Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, Blender, etc.).
- Ability to work in scale and think spatially.
- Understanding of brand guidelines and ability to create solutions that are on-brand.
- Excellent typography skills and comprehension of grid systems.
- Advanced experience in signage & wayfinding design and programming.
- Critical thinker who approaches spatial design from a purpose-based foundation.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining comprehensive design systems.
- Ability to run projects autonomously.
- Team leader capable of providing clear design direction and feedback.
- Ability to work quickly and prioritize competing workstreams.
- Strong communication practices and empathy towards others.
- Experience in leadership and external partner engagement.
